Invictus Games Topic

Our topic for the first half term was the Invictus Games. We found this topic really interesting and particularly enjoyed learning about the Jaguar Car Challenge and thought about how we could adapt the cars for specific injuries. The ideas we had were amazing!

We designed our own Invictus challenges, had a go at completing tasks using blind folds or on one leg, we also had a look at how we would need to adapt sports and made our own medals which were presented at our very own closing ceremony! We caught up on the action each morning using BBC iPlayer.

We looked at the Invictus games poem and came up with words we felt were incredibly important and powerful and related to the people involved

This topic aimed to develop our ICT and research skills, develop empathy and further our understanding of the world around us.

Harry and Tyler did some research on swimming in the Invictus Games!
