Welcome to Lewis Class
The group is made up of 5 staff and 10 students. We are a mixed of year 8/9 class.
We enjoy doing take 10 with other students within the school, we go out into the community once a week to focus on road safety and independent shopping. We enjoy group games in class we do work on the chose it maker on the interactive board, some of our student go down to a old peoples community centre to make cups of teas for them, learning to interact with unfamiliar people. At the moment we are singing some songs from the 60s. We focus on communication skills and life skills throughout the week.
Lewis Class Topic
This term we are focusing on capacity: making bread, noodles, cup-a-soups and pizzas for Meal Prep.
In PSHE we are learning about touch. What is good touch and what is bad touch?
For science we have been doing a 30 days wild challenge. We have been learning about life cycles, watching caterpillars transform into butterflies. We have learnt the plant structure and what they need to grow. We are growing sunflowers.
On the 5th June 2019 Lewis class visited Drayton Manor for their class trip. There are some photos below to show you what a good day we had.
