Our Meal Prep topic this term was to learn how to cook and make pasta dishes. Each week we thought about our favourite pasta dishes, budgeted and created a list, went shopping and made a huge variety of meals! We tried Lasagna, Tortellini, Bolognese, pasta bake, ready meals with pasta, Carbonara, Arrabiata pasta and even made different breads, garlic breads and croutons! (We were never too keen on having salad with our lunch!)
We made our own pasta dough and had a lot of fun (and created a lot of mess!) making our own pasta in a variety of shapes. It tasted amazing!
We learnt skills using the hob, boiling the kettle, using the grill and oven for the garlic bread and developed our knowledge of safety in the kitchen.
